About BFDEIU
Founded in 2017, Ballet Folklórico de IU is a student-led dance organization dedicated to celebrating, sharing, and preserving Mexican culture through Ballet Folklórico. Our club engages with both IU and Bloomington communities through performances and cultural education, while providing an inclusive space for students to learn, perform, and celebrate traditional Mexican dance, thereby fostering community engagement and artistic expression.
Ballet Folklorico de IU is a club that teaches everything from the beginning, with no prior experience required. We hold various types of activities throughout the year Practices, Social events, Performances, and Workshops. We teach from 6 regions: Jalisco, Sinaloa, Veracruz, Chihuahua, Baja California, and Aguascalientes
